Questions about the Anthem Lumenos Health Savings Account and how it works
Do we have to put the money in the Health Savings Account ahead of time and is there a minimum amount?
You are not required to put any money in the HSA, but if you would like to have a monthly deposit put in they usually require that the deposit be at least $25 per month.
The Anthem Lumenos HSA coverage states I can request a 3yr or 5 year fixed premium rate. Is there an additional cost for this?
Yes the fixed rate option is usually about 15% more for a three year rate lock and 40% more for a five year rate lock
Do you have to establish a health savings account in conjunction with the HSA plan?
No. If you do not want to establish the HSA account you do not have to, it is just a great way to be able to pay for current and future health care expenses tax free.
